This Week ETF fund review is the iShares Dow Jones Real Estate Index Fund. We think this a long-term real estate play, with the fund stabilizing in the 3rd qtr of next year. However, fundamental problems still exist in valuing assets based on current risk methods. This inability to correctly value currents assets have frozen the credit markets domestically and globally. There is not much liquidity in the markets right now for commercial backed securities as the industry seeks bailout aid from TALF. However, we believe that the industry will find a 'way out' but that 'way out' may take 12-24 months.
